Helping Hands Living Solutions Vertical Platform Lift Installers
February 20, 2026

A Vertical Platform Lift is basically an open-air elevator. To activate the lift, users utilize constant-pressure switches, to move the VPL between floor levels. Controls are located on the platform, as well as at the top and bottom landings for "calling" the unit. Safety sensors and automatic gates ensure safe, secure operation. A ramp automatically folds up as the lift rises. Other safety features include emergency stops, safety sensors that detect obstacles under the platform, battery backup, and manual lowering capabilities.
